I was wondering…would that sound strange to you if the characters in manga had names only in your native language? And I’m not talking about Japanese or English, nothing unusual ‘bout Arisu or Bobu here and there. But like…OK, if a story was based in Poland, for example, and there would be a group of bishounen: one would be Krzysiek, then Sławek, Radosław and Marian. They would do just what every bishounen ought to do, but with these names…wouldn’t that be taken for a bad joke? It’s only natural to cherish the anime in which people live in the country of Kuchen( oder..?), yet that’s made in Japan where German is rather exotic. Anyway, I was just curious what are your thoughts about using names in your native language in manga stories...kashira
